Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Clear mowing area of debris, toys, and obstacles before starting.
  2. Never allow children or pets in area during operation.
  3. Do not mow on slopes greater than 15 degrees; mow across slopes, not up and down.
  4. Always engage parking brake before dismounting.
  5. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts, especially the cutting deck.

WARNING! Gasoline is flammable; refuel outdoors with engine off and cool. Never smoke near fuel.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering wheel: Align and tighten bolt securely.
  2. Attach seat: Mount using provided bolts and washers.
  3. Connect battery: Attach red (+) then black (-) terminals.
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate to recommended PSI (see Specifications).
  5. Add engine oil and fuel: Use types specified in manual.
  6. Perform pre-operation check: Inspect for loose parts or leaks.

CAUTION! Use proper lifting techniques or assistance when handling heavy components like the cutting deck.

Controls & Operation

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting the engine.

Dashboard: Ignition key, PTO switch, Throttle/Choke, Headlight switch, Hour meter, Cruise control lever.

Operation Steps:

  1. Set parking brake; ensure PTO is disengaged.
  2. Adjust throttle to fast position; turn key to start.
  3. Release parking brake; use drive pedal to move forward/backward.
  4. Engage PTO switch to lower and spin blades.
  5. Adjust cutting height using deck lift lever before or during mowing.
  6. To stop, disengage PTO, set parking brake, turn key to OFF.

Tip: Allow engine to idle for a minute before shutting down after heavy use.

Cutting Deck Adjustment

  3. Adjust deck hanger links to achieve equal measurements (front slightly lower than rear for best discharge).
  4. Re-check measurements after adjustment.
  5. Check belt tension and pulley alignment periodically.

WARNING! Disconnect spark plug wire before performing any work under the deck.

Engine Care

Storage & Winterization

Proper storage prevents damage and starting issues next season.

  1. Clean entire mower thoroughly, especially under the deck.
  2. Change engine oil and filter.
  3. Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine for 5 minutes to circulate.
  4. Disconnect battery negative terminal; store battery in a cool, dry place on a trickle charger.
  5. Store in a clean, dry place, preferably covered.

CAUTION! Do not store with fuel in tank for more than 30 days without stabilizer.
