Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  2. Work Area: Ensure area is clear of obstacles and bystanders. Be aware of hidden hazards like rebar or pipes.
  3. Machine Inspection: Check blade, guards, and controls before each use. Do not operate if damaged.
  4. Fuel Safety: Refuel in well-ventilated area with engine off and cool. No smoking.

WARNING! Rotating blade can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from cutting area. Never operate without proper guards in place.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, stable surface.

  1. Attach Handles: Secure control handles to main frame using provided hardware.
  2. Install Blade: Ensure machine is off and disconnect spark plug. Mount blade according to diagram, tightening nut securely.
  3. Attach Blade Guard: Install guard over blade, ensuring it moves freely.
  4. Connect Water Supply: Attach hose to water inlet. Check for leaks.
  5. Add Fluids: Fill engine with recommended oil and fuel.

CAUTION! Use correct tools for assembly. Overtightening can damage components.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting.

Main Controls: Throttle lever, Engine ON/OFF switch, Choke, Fuel valve, Depth adjustment wheel, Water flow valve.

Safety Features: Blade guard, Deadman switch (must be engaged for blade to spin), Vibration dampening system.

Operation: Start engine following cold/hot start procedure. Engage deadman switch and throttle to begin cutting. Use handles to guide saw along cut line. Adjust water flow as needed.

Operation Procedures

Follow these steps for safe and effective cutting.

  1. Pre-Operation Check: Inspect blade, fluid levels, and controls. Ensure work area is safe.
  2. Start Engine: Move to well-ventilated area. Set choke, turn fuel valve on, pull starter cord.
  3. Set Cutting Depth: Use adjustment wheel to raise/lower blade to desired depth.
  4. Begin Cutting: Position saw at start of cut line. Engage deadman switch and slowly apply throttle to lower blade into material.
  5. Guide the Saw: Push forward steadily, allowing blade to cut. Do not force; let blade do the work.
  6. Complete Cut & Shutdown: At end of cut, release throttle, allow blade to stop. Turn engine off and close fuel valve.

Tip: Make multiple passes for deeper cuts. Always keep water flowing to suppress dust.

Cutting Depth Adjustment

Precise depth control is crucial for quality results.

  1. Locate Adjustment Wheel: Typically near front or side of saw.
  2. Loosen Locking Mechanism: If present, loosen before adjusting.
  3. Turn Wheel: Rotate to raise or lower the blade assembly. Reference scale for depth.
  4. Lock in Place: Secure setting by tightening locking mechanism.
  5. Test: With engine off and blade guard clear, verify blade height above ground.

WARNING! Never adjust depth while blade is rotating. Ensure machine is off and stable.

Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and safe operation.

IntervalTask
Before Each UseCheck blade condition, fluid levels, and controls. Inspect for loose parts.
Every 8 HoursCheck air filter. Clean if dirty.
Every 25 HoursChange engine oil (refer to engine manual). Check spark plug.
Every 50 HoursClean fuel filter. Inspect blade mount and arbor for wear.
Every 100 HoursCheck drive belts (if equipped) for tension and wear. Grease fittings if applicable.
Seasonal/StorageDrain fuel or use stabilizer. Clean entire machine. Store in dry place.

Storage Guidelines

Proper storage prevents damage and corrosion.

  1. Clean Thoroughly: Remove all concrete slurry, dirt, and debris.
  2. Fluid Management: Either drain fuel tank and carburetor or add fuel stabilizer and run engine for 5 minutes.
  3. Blade Care: Remove blade, clean, and store separately in a dry place.
  4. Protect from Elements: Store indoors in a cool, dry location. Cover machine.

CAUTION! Storing with fuel can lead to gumming in carburetor. Follow engine manual for long-term storage.
