  2. Clear mowing area of debris, rocks, and other objects before starting.
  3. Never allow children or untrained persons to operate the mower.
  4. Do not mow on slopes greater than 15 degrees; mow up and down slopes, not across.
  5. Disengage PTO and set parking brake before dismounting.

WARNING! Gasoline is flammable; refuel outdoors with engine off and cool. Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Assembly requires basic tools.

  1. Install steering wheel: Align and secure with provided hardware.
  2. Attach seat: Bolt seat to frame using included bolts and washers.
  3. Install battery: Connect red (+) cable first, then black (-) cable.
  4. Check tire pressure: Inflate all tires to 14 PSI.
  5. Add engine oil: Use SAE 10W-30, fill to mark on dipstick.

Mower Deck Operation

Proper deck operation ensures even cutting and extends blade life.

  1. Engage PTO only when seated with parking brake set.
  2. Adjust cutting height to desired setting before starting mower.
  3. Mow at full throttle for best cutting performance.
  4. Overlap cutting passes by 2-3 inches for even coverage.
  5. Disengage PTO when crossing driveways or non-grass areas.
  6. Clean underside of deck after each use to prevent rust and buildup.

Blade Sharpening: Remove spark plug wire. Tip deck safely. Remove blades with socket wrench. Sharpen at 22-degree angle; balance before reinstalling.

Storage & Winterization

Prepare mower for extended storage (e.g., winter).

  1. Clean entire mower, especially underside of deck.
  2. Change engine oil and filter.
  3. Add fuel stabilizer to gas tank and run engine for 5 minutes to circulate.
  4. Disconnect battery negative cable; store battery in cool, dry place.
  5. Store in dry, covered location; consider using a mower cover.

CAUTION! Do not store with fuel in tank for more than 30 days without stabilizer. Gasoline can degrade and damage fuel system.
