Safety Information

Always wear appropriate protective gear and inspect your motorcycle before riding.

  1. Protective Gear: Always wear a DOT/ECE-approved helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, and body armor.
  2. Rider Training: Complete proper off-road riding training before operating this high-performance motorcycle.
  3. Pre-Ride Inspection: Check tires, brakes, controls, fuel, and fasteners before each ride.

WARNING! This motorcycle is designed for off-road use only by experienced riders. Not for use on public roads. Operation by minors is prohibited.

Controls and Instruments

Familiarize yourself with all controls before starting the engine.

  1. Handlebar Controls: Right - front brake lever, start/stop switch; Left - clutch lever, map select switch, horn, light controls.
  2. Instrument Panel: Displays speedometer, odometer, trip meter, clock, and diagnostic codes.
  3. Fuel Tap: Located on left side of fuel tank. Turn to ON position before starting.

Specifications

Pre-Ride Inspection

Perform these checks before every ride to ensure safety and reliability.

Daily Checks: Fuel level, engine oil (transmission), coolant level, tire pressure and condition, brake fluid level, brake pad wear, chain tension and lubrication, throttle operation, clutch operation, lighting function, fastener tightness.

Weekly/Monthly Checks: Air filter cleanliness, suspension settings, spoke tension, wheel bearing play, steering head bearing play, exhaust system mounts.

Tip: Keep a maintenance log to track service intervals and inspections.

Starting and Operating

Starting procedure for cold and warm engines.

  1. Cold Start: Turn fuel tap to ON. Pull choke knob (if equipped). Do not touch throttle. Press start button until engine fires.
  2. Warm Start: No choke needed. May require slight throttle opening when pressing start button.
  3. Riding: Allow engine to warm up for 1-2 minutes. Select first gear, release clutch smoothly while applying throttle.
  4. Stopping: Close throttle, apply brakes, pull clutch, shift to neutral, turn off engine with stop switch.

WARNING! Always start in neutral with clutch pulled in. Keep feet on footpegs when moving.

Fuel and Lubrication

The TE 150 uses a TPI system that automatically injects oil into the fuel.

  1. Fuel: Use premium unleaded gasoline with minimum 95 RON. Do not use fuel containing more than 10% ethanol.
  2. 2-Stroke Oil: Use only Husqvarna recommended 2-stroke injection oil in the separate oil tank.
  3. Transmission Oil: Use recommended 10W-50 4-stroke engine oil in the gearbox. Capacity: 0.7 liters.
  4. Coolant: Use ethylene glycol based coolant mixed 50:50 with distilled water.

CAUTION! Never mix fuel and oil in the fuel tank. The TPI system handles oil injection automatically.

Chassis and Suspension

Adjusting suspension for rider weight and terrain.

Front Fork: Adjust compression (top of left fork leg) and rebound (bottom of right fork leg). Pre-load adjustable with spacers.

Rear Shock: Adjust spring pre-load, high/low speed compression, and rebound damping.

Baseline Settings: For 75kg rider on technical terrain: Fork - compression 15 clicks out, rebound 20 clicks out; Shock - sag 105mm, compression 15 clicks, rebound 20 clicks.

Tip: Make small adjustments (2-3 clicks) and test ride. Document your preferred settings.

Storage and Winterization

Proper storage prevents damage during extended non-use.

  1. Fuel System: Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine for 5 minutes, or drain fuel completely.
  2. Battery: Remove battery, clean terminals, charge fully, store in cool dry place.
  3. Engine: Change oil before storage. Remove spark plug, add teaspoon of oil, crank engine, reinstall plug.
  4. Tires: Inflate to maximum pressure, lift motorcycle off ground if storing more than 3 months.
  5. Cleaning: Wash thoroughly, dry completely, apply protectant to plastics and metal surfaces.

WARNING! Store in dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight and moisture.
