Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and performance.

Before Each Use: Check tire pressure, engine oil level, fuel level, and for debris under deck.

Every 8 Hours/Weekly: Clean deck underside, check blade condition and sharpness.

Every 50 Hours: Change engine oil, replace oil filter (if equipped), check air filter.

Every 100 Hours: Replace spark plug, check battery terminals and charge.

Seasonally: Grease fittings, inspect belts for wear, sharpen or replace blades.

Deck Adjustment & Mowing

Proper deck leveling ensures even cut.

  1. Park on level surface, disengage PTO, set parking brake.
  2. Adjust cutting height using lever (check all wheels for equal height).
  3. Level deck side-to-side and front-to-rear using adjustment rods (see manual for specifics).
  4. For best results, mow when grass is dry, overlap passes slightly, and vary mowing pattern.

Tip: Avoid mowing in reverse when possible; if necessary, ensure area behind is clear.

Storage & Winterization

Prepare mower for off-season storage.

  1. Clean thoroughly: Remove grass, dirt, and debris from deck, engine, and chassis.
  2. Fuel system: Add fuel stabilizer to tank, run engine 5 minutes, or drain fuel completely.
  3. Battery: Disconnect and store in cool, dry place; charge periodically.
  4. Engine: Change oil, remove spark plug and add a teaspoon of oil to cylinder, then pull starter cord slowly to coat.
  5. Store in dry, covered location, preferably on blocks to relieve tire pressure.

WARNING! Never store with fuel in tank untreated; it can degrade and damage engine.

Safety Information

Read and understand all safety labels on machine.

DANGER! Blades are sharp and rotate at high speed. Keep hands and feet away until engine is off and key is removed.
