Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Engine won't start Empty fuel tank, dead battery, safety switch engaged Check fuel level, charge battery, ensure all safety switches are properly set
Uneven cutting pattern Uneven tire pressure, dull blades, deck not level Adjust tire pressure, sharpen blades, level cutting deck
Loss of power Clogged air filter, old fuel, dirty spark plug Clean/replace air filter, use fresh fuel, clean/replace spark plug
Hydrostatic transmission issues Low hydraulic fluid, air in system, linkage adjustment Check fluid level, bleed system, adjust control linkages
Excessive vibration Unbalanced blades, loose components, damaged spindle Balance blades, tighten all bolts, inspect spindle bearings
Poor bagging performance Clogged chute, wet grass, improper engine speed Clean discharge chute, mow when grass is dry, operate at full throttle

Common Error Indicators
