Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine won't start | Empty fuel tank, dead battery, safety switch engaged | Check fuel level, charge battery, ensure all safety switches are properly set |
| Uneven cutting pattern | Uneven tire pressure, dull blades, deck not level | Adjust tire pressure, sharpen blades, level cutting deck |
| Loss of power | Clogged air filter, old fuel, dirty spark plug | Clean/replace air filter, use fresh fuel, clean/replace spark plug |
| Hydrostatic transmission issues | Low hydraulic fluid, air in system, linkage adjustment | Check fluid level, bleed system, adjust control linkages |
| Excessive vibration | Unbalanced blades, loose components, damaged spindle | Balance blades, tighten all bolts, inspect spindle bearings |
| Poor bagging performance | Clogged chute, wet grass, improper engine speed | Clean discharge chute, mow when grass is dry, operate at full throttle |
Common Error Indicators
- Oil Pressure Light: Low oil level or pressure - Check oil level immediately
- Battery Light: Charging system issue - Check alternator and connections
- Overheating: Engine temperature too high - Clean cooling fins and check coolant
- Hydrostatic Warning: Transmission fluid hot - Allow to cool before continuing
- Safety Switch Error: Operator presence system fault - Check seat and blade switches
- Fuel Warning: Low fuel level - Refuel before continuing operation
